Second Harvest Japan will establish the food lifeline and food safetynet in Japan

Second Harvest Japan will strengthen our food supply infrastructure. We will make it easier for food suppliers and food recipient agencies to use food banks. Especially building primary supply chain infrastructure with cooperation from food companies and logistics companies would be our top priority. Local food banks and their partner companies will be in charge of building regional supply chain infrastructures in their own areas and Second Harvest Japan will be focused on the national primary supply chain infrastructure.

Second Harvest Japan will establish a safety net for those left without enough help and struggling to secure food by expanding our food pantry program. Through the pantry program, we will distribute food resources to those living below the poverty line in Japan, the majority of which are single-mother households and senior households.
