Food Bank Symposium 2008 & Harvest For Hunger event

―An opportunity to discuss waste and poverty in Japan―

Second Harvest Japan (2HJ) will hold a symposium about food banking in Tokyo on October 16. We would like you to join!

The First Food Bank Symposium 2008
Time and Date: 14:00–17:00, October 16 (Thursday)
Venue: Shinsei Bank Tokyo headquarters (Uchisaiwai-cho 2-1-8, Chiyoda, Tokyo)

Agendas
1) Opening speech by Charles McJilton
2) Keynote speech by Etsuko Ohara
3) Panel discussion by food donors, charity agencies, and food banks
4) Q&A

Food donors, charity agencies, and government officials will be invited. 2HJ and other food banks will report about their own activities and discuss the future perspective and build a guidline of food banking. Please come and see who Japanese food bankers are.

We will also hold our annual Harvest for Hunger event on the same day.

Time and Date: 19:00–21:00, October 16 (Thursday)
Venue: Fujimamas Restaurant (Jingumae 6-3-2, Shibuya, Tokyo)
Price: 5,000 yen per person (Buffet style with drinks)
